The Well Project won the award for Best Community Project as voted by the public in WDH's Love Where You Live Awards 2020.

The Well Project were nominated in the ninth year of Love Where You Live Awards and the public voted in their first ever virtual event.  The awards recognise and reward good neighbours and community groups who make a positive difference in their neighbourhoods.  During the pandemic WDH were inundated with nominees who have continued to go over and above throughout the year.  Over 50 local heroes were nominated and the Well Project won!

We were up against some fantastic Community Projects, who all deserved to win.

Other winners were:

Working with Older People: Wilds Tots and Friends at the Old Quarry Adventure Playground

Digital in the Community: Incredible Edible

Community Champion: Paul Green

Arts and Culture: Rachel List

Young Achiever: Gabby Round

Best Garden: Terry Armitage

Working with Young People: The Addy in Knottingley

A huge congratulations to all of the winners and nominees - you all do amazing jobs in our community.
